Jack the Ripper and the East End
From 15 May – 2 November 2008 Museum in Docklands is returning to the scene of London’s most infamous crimes in, the first exhibition to explore the Jack the Ripper murders and their legacy.
From police files and photographs to letters from the public and the supposed Ripper himself, examine, for the first time, surviving documents from the investigation and follow the crimes as they unfolded. With original 1880s artefacts also on show, you’ll have the chance to analyse the evidence first-hand and reach your own conclusions about a story which continues to fascinate today
This exhibition will feature 'The Study in Scarlet' from the The Arthur Conan Doyle Collection Lancelyn Green Bequest.

The Death and Life of Sherlock Holmes
Roger Llewellyn appears as Sherlock Holmes in this touring one-man play by David Stuart Davies, showing at the Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham on Thursday 11 June 2008. The Death and Life of Sherlock Holmes is directed by Gareth Armstrong and features an original score by Simon Slater.
