The 'Sherlock Holmes pipe' in a box

This item is one of many differing pipes held within the Collection. It consists of a pipe in a box with three spare bowls and a packet of moisture pads. The lid of the box is marked 'Sherlock Holmes pipe' with a logo that reads 'The Sherlock Holmes Patent SHP'. Inside the lid is an instructional diagram for the use of the pipe with step by step guide for use. It was made in Chicago in the mid twentieth century. (Item No. 2007/2475).
