Arthur Conan Doyle, his wife and children arrived in USA in March 1923. He was there chiefly to give talks and lectures to promote Spiritualism, and to meet others interested in the subject, but he also had to deal with publication and copyright questions relating to The Lost World and to the Sherlock Holmes stories. Despite this hectic schedule he and his family were able to travel and visit places of interest. Here they are on their way to see the giant Redwood forest.
